Osteopathy
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a noninvasive form of manual therapy that aims to improve overall health across all body systems by manipulating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework.
An osteopathic practitioner will focus on the joints, muscles, and spine. Treatments aim to positively affect the body’s nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.
The Moetus Difference
At Moetus Health, we use a hands-on functional approach to better understand how you move in your body. Our assessment includes evaluating your joint and muscle function. Our goal is to identifying the root cause of pain and dysfunction to reduce risk of injury and/or reinjury.
Who can benefit from osteopathy?
Postural-related concerns
Including issues like back pain, neck pain, shoulder discomfort, and/or tightness in hips
Conditions resulting from repetitive stress/strain injuries
Tendinitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Trigger Finger, Osgood-Schlatter disease, back strain, back spain, and shin splints.
Arthritic pain
Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, Lupus, Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis
What results can you expect?
The results of osteopathy can vary depending on your individualized treatment plan. Osteopathic treatments positively affect the respiratory, nervous, lymphatic, and circulatory systems.
This practice treats the body as a whole rather than focusing on the symptoms you may experience. Osteopathic treatments work to improve posture, ease sciatica pain, and improve range of motion in the muscles and joints.
